J.V. Cardiff & Sons Rice Dryer receiving facelift

​​KATY – J.V. Cardiff & Sons Rice Dryer will undergo renovations this fall.

The project will include the addition of parking, the Katy Beer Garden building, and a museum dedicated to the silos’ history.

Construction starts Oct. 1 and will wrap up in first quarter 2023.

The first round of construction will cost $2.1 million, with total cost estimated at over $7.2 million. 

Hadi “Andrew” Nurcahya purchased the rice silos in 2020 with plans to turn the site into a community-centric gathering space.
