SAN ANTONIO – Spirit Airlines is expanding to the San Antonio International Airport (SAIA).
The discount carrier will launch on Nov. 18, becoming the 13th airline to fly out of the SAIA. It will include nonstop flights to Las Vegas and Orlando.
Expanding air accessibility is key as city leaders continue to pursue more business recruitment opportunities, reports the San Antonio Business Journal.
In related news, the city is planning a $2.5 billion expansion and improvements project for the SAIA. This will include a new terminal that will add 17 passenger gates, a new ground transportation center, parking garage, and roadway realignment.
