SHERMAN – Seven-hundred and fifty single-family homes are planned for Heritage Ranch, a 440-acre mixed-use community that will also have commercial, retail, hospitality, and office space.
The residential portion of the development will span 171 acres and include homes built by Highland Homes and K. Hovnanian Homes. Locally based Covenant Development and Rockhill Capital & Investments of Frisco are working together to develop it.
Home construction kicks off in early 2023, and homes are expected to be available later that year. They will include 40-, 50-, and 60-foot lots.
Heritage Ranch is less than a mile west of US 75 at the intersection of FM 1417 and US 82. About 11 miles south, construction has begun on a $30 billion Texas Instruments plant that is projected to create 3,000 jobs.
