Historic Lucas Farms becoming residential project

​​MESQUITE – Huffines Communities has started work on The Solterra, the city’s largest plann​ed development.

The project will span 1,530 acres on the historic Lucas Farms in the city’s southeastern district. 

It will have 3,900 homes and 300 townhomes. Homes will average between 1,200 to 6,000 sf, and prices will range from $280,000 to the $500,000s. ​​

Amenities will include a pool complex, access to a 30-acre lake, bike and hiking trails, fitness facility, dog park, beer garden, and special treehouse park. ​

Huffines plans to complete 787 lots by the end of 2022.
