Affordable apartments slated for South Lamar

​​​​​AUSTIN – Seamless Capital LLC is planning a 500-unit multifamily development at 2700 S. Lamar Blvd. 

Ten percent of the units will be set aside for those making up to 60 percent of the area median family income.​ 

HomeBase, a subsidiary of Austin Habitat for Humanity, is partnering on the 50 affordable units. 

The developer is asking the city council to rezone the three-acre site to MF-6, the highest-density multifamily zoning category. The council ​gave initial approval on Oct. 14. ​​​
