PORTER – Cypress-based Caldwell Cos. has broken ground on The Highlands, a 4,000-home master-planned community near the Hardy and Grand Parkway Toll Roads.
It will include recreation lakes, a 300-acre nature preserve, and a sandy beach along the San Jacinto River.
Amenities will include a semi-private 18-hole golf course, hiking and biking trails, water park, lazy river, clubhouse, on-site fitness, tennis and pickle ball courts, event lawn, pavilion for live music, and a zoned on-site elementary school.
Homes will be priced in the $290,000s. The community will open in mid 2022.
