WASHINGTON – WalletHub has named Texas the eighth-most fun state to visit in America.
The Lone Star State ranked eighth in entertainment and recreation and 12th in nightlife.
Texas tied for first (with California, Florida, and New York) in most restaurants per capita. It also tied for first with California and New York for most movie theaters per capita.
Texas also had the fourth-most fitness centers per capita.
However, the state has the fifth-worst access to national parks.
In 2019, Texas ranked tenth on the list.
California, Florida, Nevada, New York, and Illinois took the top five spots.
