Austin office market vacancy increases in January

​AUSTIN – Overall vacancy in the local office market increased in January, according to a report from NAI Partners.

Vacancy increased from 9.4 percent in J​anuary 2020 to 13.8 percent last month. 

Net absorption decreased from negative 99,000 sf to negative 768,000 sf.  

There is 7.8 million sf currently under construction, with 52.6 percent available.
