$1B energy pipeline planned in Southeast Texas

​HOUSTON – Max Midstream ​​has acquired​​​ land and infrastructure in southeast Texas to develop a $1 billion pipeline project. 

The pipeline will connect the Port of Calhoun—southeast of Victoria—to both the Eagle Ford and Permian Basin areas.

The project will create nearly 500 direct jobs and an additional 600 construction-related jobs over the next ten years.

Max Midstream is partnering with the Port of Calhoun on the project. The developer will invest $360 million in widening and deepening the port’s channels.

Exports will begin with the completion of the first phase late this year. Phase two will deliver in 2023.
