BRYAN – The city council has approved the purchase of five acres adjacent to the driving range at the City Course at Phillips Event Center.
The first four-acre tract includes a portion of the driving range and was sold for $600,000.
The two smaller tracts are .31 and .04 acres and front Camelot Dr. They were sold for an additional $65,000.
All funding for the purchase came from the city’s general fund.
