City approves $526K for 1.5-acre expansion to parks building

​​TEMPLE – The city council has approved $526,000 for the expansion of the city’s Parks and Recreation building at 1701 N. General Bruce Dr. 

The expansion will include two open bay equipment storage facilities totaling 3,000 sf, a concrete driveway, detention pond, and parking spaces.  

The two storage areas will include 16 covered parking bays to keep trailers, mowers, and maintenance equipment out of the weather.

Construction will be complete in December.
