Mid-March job losses tallied 37,945 in Houston metro

HOUSTON – According to NAI Partners, area job losses due to COVID-19 were estimated to be 37,945 in mid-March. 

Currently, the most at-risk sectors include retail, plumbing and other home services, the arts, and most small businesses. 

The Greater Houston Partnership estimates job​ loss will hover between 150,000 and 350,000 jobs.
