UTSA off to the RACEs

SAN ANTONIO – The University of Texas at San Antonio has started work on the Roadrunner Athletics Center of Excellence (RACE), a $41.5 million athletic training center.

The 95,000-sf facility will be on 11 acres on Babcock Dr. near the southwest corner of the university’s campus. 

It will offer 7,000 sf of academic space, 14,000 sf of strength and conditioning space, a 7,500​-sf locker room, meeting rooms, practice fields, and a sports medicine center.​

Completion is set for summer 2021.

Populous and MarmonMok are the architects. Joeris Construction is the general contractor, and Project Control is the project manager.
